Roosevelt's students celebrated Cesar Chavez Day on March 27th, 2013 with a rally and marched around the campus, shouting "Sí, Se Puede". Students learned about Cesar Chavez in their classrooms and many brought their own cultural items from home to share with their class. Additionally, Roosevelt students created posters, paintings and drawings to celebrate the life of Cesar Chavez in our school wide rally. At the rally students cheered and stood up holding their posters while Jennifer Rodriguez, a 7th grade student presented an inspiring speech about the life of Cesar Chavez.

Exciting, Rewarding, and Wonderful are only a few of the words that  can describe  teaching  music at Roosevelt Elementary School this year.  We have very talented and polite students that are constantly working on improving their musical skills. At this point, our students are working to prepare music for the District Music Showcase Concert in May of this year; I expect that this will be a terrific experience for all students and adults involved.

2013 Roosevelt Safety Plan

Roosevelt invites parents to come have lunch with their children every Wednesday come rain or shine. Parents are welcome to sit outside on the lawn with their children or sit in the cafeteria. Each Wednesday we will also be awarding citizenship awards to every grade!
